Wood Welded is a trademarked term of the Wood Welded Co.s. It is a term that signifies what we do.
Prior to the introduction of the "butcher block" butchers cut on tree trunks set on legs. These blocks were very subject to cracking. The term Wood Welded was intended to describe in a succinct manner the process we used to manufacture butcher blocks. In other words it was to refer to the cutting, the machining, arranging and the gluing of the wood itself. This technique was an important advancement in the butcher block manufacturing process and became a huge success.
Today the term is still accurate. While portions of the process have been updated as new technology has become available the basic technique remains the same...as do the results...I fine, high quality and durable block.
