Butcher Block Workbench Tops

Butcher block has been used for workbench tops for almost as long as butcher block has been around. The tops have changed very little in that time. Same great durability and same great strength. These tops are 1 3/4" thick and come in a variety of stock/standard sizes. We also can construct custom tops if needed.

Durability - The rock-hard, edge grained laminations assure durability and the greatest construction strength. Over one hundred years of experience in the fabrication of these materials guarantees the highest degree of craftsmanship.

Lamination - Great care is used in selecting edge grain. All woods are solid maple, electronically bonded together in the famous Wood Welded construction which utilizes controlled pressure and resin adhesives.

Finish - All surfaces and edges are accurately planed and sanded. A special Wood Welded wear-resistant finish is then applied - DURAKRYL 102. This tough, acrylic coating will repel alcohol, bleach, even paint thinner! Wood Welded Butcher Block is one of the few materials that can take so much hard wear and tear, be resurfaced or repaired without any special tools or particular skill, and come up looking as great as ever.

2 1/4 Work Bench Top

Ash Butcher Block Tops

Michigan Maple Block Co. and Bally Block Co. manufacture some great alternative Industrial Bench tops. The picture you see to the left is an Ash Butcher Block top. While ash is a great wood for a bench top it also offers some price advantage.

These tops are usually quoted in large quantities to the specifications of workbench manufacturers. Done in large runs that can quite dramatically lower the price of a high quality bench top.

Tuff Top

Tuff Top is a natural extension to what we manufacture. Many of our industrial workbench customers requested a more economical solution to their material handling and work surface projects. Tuff Top fills that niche.

This workbench top is manufactured with 3/8" thick, 62 lb. Phenolic resin board top and bottom. The core of the product is a 45lb.Industrial Particle Board which offers very high strength. The overall thickness is 1 5/8". The product also features a 1" band of hardwood on the edges to stabilize the top and insure a long life. We detail the product with a 3/8" radius front and back and leave the ends square so that the tops can be butted together for larger installations. Finally we finish the product in Durakryl 102 our UV cured finish.

Pound for pound Tuff Tops are the most economical solution to your material handling needs.

While there are limitations in overall size we can make custom tops. Please contact our office for maximum sizes.
