The story of the Double Dovetail starts 100 years ago when the technology of the day was applied to the manufacture of the Monarch Butcher Block. To the left you see a picture of the top of a modern Wood Welded Butcher Block. If this picture was compared to the top of a Monarch Block of 100 years ago the configuration would be the same. In fact the actual machine used 100 years ago is still in operation at our Bally Pennsylvania plant.
