Our decision to produce Wood Welded Butcher Block from Lyptus was heavily influenced by these factors. Lyptus is considered a "Green" product. Lyptus is grown on plantations and this method of forestry more closely resembles farming than some forms of commercial logging.

One of the newest additions to our Butcher Block line walnut gives a whole new look to our line of butcher block. Our intention is to provide you with the best price for the widest variety. Walnut literally grows in our backyards making the additon of this species a simple decision. The cost of transporting green lumber is significant but with local suppliers we avoid these charges while providing our customers the deep rich chocolate brown tones of Black Walnut.

Walnut can have significant color variation in it's natural state. We will "Sap Stain" if specified on your order. This balances the lighter sap wood with the deep tones of the heart wood.
