In addition to making the standard 1 1/2' Solid Northern Hard Maple Kitchen Island Top we also make a 3" inch version of the top. This top is solid though and though. This substantial top gives an impressive appearance in any kitchen. Listed below are the standard sizes. We also make this top in custom sizes to your specifications.

Other Species 3" Island Tops
Michigan Maple Block Co. and Bally Block Co.also manufacture 3" Island tops out of Lyptus, Red Oak, Ash, Black Cherry, Walnut and Teak. Shown to the left is a Lyptus top. As you can see the natural color and color variation within the Lyptus itself creates a rich and dramatic look. These tops are not as of yet manufactured in standard sizes but we are happy to produce any custom size you like. The top pictured here is 48" x 24" x 3" with a 3/8" top edge and corners. It is finished in Durakryl 102 our standard finish.
